New FAQs Explain Medicare’s Home Health Benefit
The Center for Medicare Advocacy (the Center) recently released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document with practical information on understanding Medicare’s home health benefit.
The organization says that its content is based on inquiries it frequently receives about Medicare’s coverage of home health services, particularly those that have come up during its webinar series.
The FAQ answers a host of questions, including:
- How can I find a Medicare-certified home health agency?
- Does Medicare pay family members or other private caregivers for providing home health services?
- Can a person be considered homebound based on a mental health condition?
The FAQ, as well as the Center’s main Home Health Care page, should serve as a great resource for both patients and their families.
